Hi,
My oncologist forwarded my MRI report which appears to be favorable. Usually I just hear that everything is OK. However, now that I have the report I am wondering what it exactly means. For example, does anyone know what "increased T2 signal" and "incidental right high convexity DVA" means?
Thanks,
Barbara H.

HISTORY: Breast CA.

TECHNIQUE: Sagittal and axial T1-weighted, axial T2 FLAIR
diffusion, and axial and coronal post-gad images through the head
were performed and compared to study of 1/3/05.

FINDINGS: Postop changes of the left frontal lobe from prior
resection. Increased T2 signal is again seen at the high
convexity bilaterally which has not changed significantly in the
interim. The ventricular size is also stable. There is likely
incidental right high convexity DVA. Minimal enhancement at the
postop site likely represent postop changes.

IMPRESSION:

No interval change.

Hmmm....sorry I can't add any information but I guess the good thing is it ends with:

IMPRESSION:

No interval change.

So that must mean you are stable, I think.

Those reports can be confusing though, in one spot it says "increasing something" and then summarizes it up with "no interval change"
