Back from my checkup

Hi all, guess I'm the first to check in about our checkups. Had a lot of blood drawn, showed my onc an area on my top right rib beside the breast that has been showing some swelling for some reason. He didn't think to much of it but did send me for an x-ray, don't know anything yet. My primary care doc (who, I'm so blessed to have) has scheduled me for a chest scan on Weds. He had done this last January and saw something on the upper lobe of my right lung, said he wants it checked again. So, I'll be doing the scan this Weds. I'm so thankful for my PC, he believes in staying on top of everything, my onc is just the opposite, go figure! Anyway, this was my first three month check-up, the onc didn't order any scans or special tests, I saw him for about three minutes and he said "see ya in three monthes". I guess I can take that as a good thing?
Hope to hear from everyone else today as to how all the check-ups went.
Hugs to everyone

I only had my blood drawn today. I get my check up a week from today plus a Zometa infusion.

I get the blood done a week in advance so we have the results. I feel good but if the tumor markers are out of control, then we would really have something to discuss (that's what I figure).

I'll report in later this week because I get the blood results before the appt. My appt is just a breast exam, node areas under the arm/neck. Listens to lungs and heart and palpates the abdomen (liver etc).

I saw my surgeon today, turns out I have Lobular carninoma, in my right breast. Lost the left one to Ductal almost three years ago. Will decide what will happen this week. Not what i was looking forward to, but will deal with it the best I can. Surgeon and Oncologist will talk tomorrow and I will will find out the plan on Wednesday hopefully. Hugs and Blessings, Jeanette

"something" upper lung lobe

After rads, I was told to remember to tell imaging folks that I'd had rads for breast cancer because there would be evidence of it in the upper lung lobe (left for me) forever. They said that remembering to say that would save lots of chasing around after nothing, when "something" showed up in the upper lobe. I had rads after mastectomy - not sure if it's the same after lumpectomy. Was anyone else told the same?

Debbie

I was not told that but have scarring due to radiation in my upper right (had lumpectomy). It came up recently when I had the CT cardiac scoring (lungs show up in that scan). But... the radiologist was kind - said that it was scarring due to infection or previous radiation. I emailed my onc to take a look and he sat down with the radiologist (and they concurred). Anyway, I was never nervous about that one because the language was so direct.

Cancerland can be a crazy place to live sometimes.
