Mammogram tomorrow

First, tomorrow I have a mammogram. The first after treatment last year. I'm afraid of what it might tell me. Life has been moving forward. I don't want to step back.

Second, there was a comment on the teleconference link about "...losing treatment/post treatment weight..." So, there just might be a reason I gained weight and can't figure out how?! Where can I read up on this?

Re: Mammogram tomorrow

Patrice,

There is a lot of discussion about post treatment weight gain in this recent thread: http://her2support.org/vbulletin/sho...eferrerid=1173

Wishing you the best of luck with your mammogram today.

Re: Mammogram tomorrow

Well, it came back good, I suppose. My letter said there was a benign spot to be watched. come back in six months.

I've left a message for my doctor to please call me to interpret for me what that means.

Re: Mammogram tomorrow

Patrice, I hope you will follow this up. I certainly don't want to alarm you but prior to my diagnosis I was also told to wait 6 months. I am glad I persued it instead, because that is how my initial cancer was found. The doctor did a biopsy.
Keep the faith. I am sure things will be fine because the doctors know your history... but you want to be vigilant.

Re: Mammogram tomorrow

Patrice,

Thanks for posting on your mammogram. I developed a red spot-can't think of the name of the thing. I was told the same thing. I had the tech mark the spot the next mammogram, and the red spot was what was showing up on my mammogram.
