When will the medical tricorders be in?

OK, I think it's time for all those nerd Star Trek fans who are really smart engineers in real life (whether or not they still live in their parents basement) to get on the stick and perfect the medical tricorder technology.

You know, the little handheld thingy that all the Star Trek doctors just wave at you and it finds what's wrong. All with just a little humming sound. No nuclear injections, no banging MRI symphonies, no icky contrast that sullies the name "berry smoothie"! And best of all, no questionable interpretation of results! I mean, how hard can it be really to invent that?

Then as soon as they've got the initial version out, they can work on the upgrade that, with a mere wave of a wand (and a little more humming) cures whatever was wrong.

After all, we've already got the communicators and nanoparticles and my next door neighbor is working on com badges...can tricorders be far behind????

Just feeling silly and frustrated over the crazy scan "non results"!

Hi Chrisy,

I am right with you on this one. Beam me up Scotty, scan me, fix me and then beam me back home again.

Happy weekend.

Didn't Star Trek also have really an easy equipment to cure all your ills? I say bring it on - besides in a strange way I found Mr. Spock sexy
