I know at least three women who had TWO cancers comprise their mets. Actually one was a recurrance under or near the surgery scars (original dx was Her2 - )and the other was a new cancer appearing in the bones generally that was Her2 positive. They are all three maintained on Herceptin after becoming NED for BOTH new tumors. So, it is interesting how a primary can morph into something with a different cell biology that has to be fought off with a new regimen.
Our bodies are FULL of surprises!
