My mother in law now has had a bad Mamo and bad ultrasound. They have set her up with an Oncologist for Wednesday.

She had BC in her other side 10 years ago, and beat it. She beat it alone, sadley. She told me of driving her self to Chemo and pulling off on side of the road for long periods of nausia, alone.

She isn't bitter, I'm not sure I wouldn't be. I am trying to learn all I can. If this is alos cancer, I vowed she would not go through it alone again.

Gena, bravo to you for being there for your mother-in-law during this upsetting time. Is she going to have a biopsy? That will usually give a definitive answer to the bc question, so keep us posted as you go along.

<3,

HMMMMM! Who knows. She first had the Mamogram, the doctor then told her they found something and needed to know what. They scheduled the Ultrasound. I went in with her. They explained it was to see it the spot was fluid filled (fibroid) or mass. They determined it is mass. Now they have scheduled her with this Oncologist in Nashville. Only telling her they are streongly leaning toward Cancer.

I wasn't around during her first Cancer. No one in my family has ever had more than Skin Cancer. Not that Skin Cancer isn't bad. Actually my Mom is having several on her arms removed today and treatment for a bad one on her chest discussed for options. Anyways I'm not familier with all the different test and exactly why. The wait for her seems to be horrible. I think from hearing her talk she had of just as well skipped the ultrasound and got some answers.

Thank you so much!

Hi there,

This is a great resource. Knowing that your mom-in-law beat it once can only encourage her to do it again. There are many wonderful people here to help with questions and hold your hand when you need. Your mom-in-law is lucky to have someone who cares so much.
Take care,
Anne

That was 10 years ago and the treatments are much better today. She has you for support so if it should be cancer she should find this journey quite different to deal with. Also she beat it once that should encourage her she can beat it again. She can consider you an angel sent from God to watch over her, hold her hand and be there for her. Good luck and let us know what she finds out. hugs, Sandy
