MBCN teleconference

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Network ( MBCN) is pleased to inform you of the following teleconference.

April 16, 2008, 7:00 p.m. (CT) Y-ME is hosting a free, one-hour teleconference, "Bone Health and Managing Bone Metastases", followed by a question and answer session.
Charles Shapiro, M.D., professor of medicine in the department of internal medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, will provide a comprehensive overview of bone health issues affecting breast cancer patients. He will discuss the impact of breast cancer treatments on bone loss and how to screen for, prevent and treat osteoporosis. He will also explain what happens when cancer spreads to the bones and will discuss treatment options for bone metastases. Lastly, Dr. Shapiro will discuss bisphosphonates, a type of drug used in the treatment of osteoporosis and bone metastasis, and their side effects.
For further info and to register, visit www.YME.org and click on ShareRing Network.
