Serum Her2 test

I just wanted to know if any early stage ( I or II) patients had the serum her2 test done. If yes, are they monitoring their levels and what were there serum her2 levels.

Hello; Don't know if you were aware of the previous discussion about the Bayer Her2 Serum Test but here's a link to that thread, with Dr. Walter Carney of Oncogene providing answers to some of our questions.

Hey Lolly,
Out of curiosity, I was wondering if your serum Her 2 June results are still as low as May? Also, I understood from the Bayer folks at ASCO that it is possible that (especially for us later stage ladies) our serum Her 2 could be measuring within normal limits but we could still be having Her 1 tumor activity that is not measured by this test. Has your onc said anything about that?
Love,
Kim from ct

Hi Kim; I'm seeing my onc next week, when we'll be discussing my last scans (stable/some improvement but some new activity) and whether to continue the Serum test...interesting about the Her1 activity, I didn't know that. Do you have a report or reference I could print out to show him? Thanks for your input!
