Five years now
I type this note to all of you with much gratitude. It has been five years now and I can tell the new ones that life does get easier and you will get stronger. Although I am five years out, I am always aware of this disease and it is never terribly far from my mind. I am extremely grateful to my doctors and nurses, family and friends (including those on our site) for everything done on my behalf years ago and now. Although many people out in the world forget, over time, what one must go through with a diagnosis and treatment, those of us who have "been there" are forever aware and understand the need to support others in all phases of their lives. Thank you so much for your great kindness to me and others touched by this disease.
