The Dr. office I go to does a great job when "graduating" from chemo.
The nurses print a diploma and blow up a bunch a balloons with colorful ribbon.
Initially, I thought it was kind of silly but in retrospect creating a defined "moment" helped me close the door on that phase of my life. It would have been weird to have quietly exited the building after the level of emotion involved with the nurses and fellow patients.
