TriciaK...how are you feeling?

Tricia
Hoping you are getting stronger by the day....we miss your posts. So glad the surgery went well. Is your daughter having any luck with help on the health issues....I know in our state there is funding for women who cant afford important health services....I am hoping she is getting help....You look too young to have a daughter my age! Hoping you are back to full strength soon, Tricia.

Dear Rhonda, Sheila and others, Thank you so much for your concern! I am slowly gaining strength and expecting the best! In fact, my husband and I are leaving tomorrow morning in our new 21 ft. Roadtrek RV to drive up to Utah for a family reunion! I am nervous because we will be going as high in altitude as 7000ft.+, though the reunion is at 5000ft. This will be my first test of whether the open heart surgery has really made a difference. I will take oxygen just in case but my hope is that I won't need it. It is a little early, a couple more weeks would be better, but the reunion is scheduled for this weekend, and we have decided to go for it. The doctors gave rather hesitant approval, so I have to show them I can do it! My daughter appreciated all the information you all gave and plans to check it out, but right now she is excited about just getting a new job with YellowBook and is now at a plush hotel for 2 weeks of training. The information you posted really helped me to check some things out for her and I feel much more hopeful now. I didn't tell you that on top of her own health problems she is taking care of her daughter (age 30) who has been on daily dialisis (spelling?) and has no working kidneys. So my problems pale beside hers! (And many of yours!) Truly we must be Amazon warriors to handle all life has thrown at us! As I read the posts on this site I see all of you growing in strength and capacity to love and care for one another. What an inspiration! My mom used to say when things seemed tough, "Well, there's just this life and one more!" I never asked her exactly what she meant by that but I got the sense this was the tough life and she expected better in the next! Thank you all for your love and concern. I will let you know how the trip turns out and am grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Tricia

Wink Happy you are better

Dear Tricia -
You may not have time to read any replies before you leave for the reunion, but I wanted to say how glad I am that you are doing well enough to make the effort.
My Mom often refers to me as the real life Energizer Bunny, but I think I have a lot of sisters who qualify for that moniker.
Your daughter certainly has a full plate, but still should not ignore any symptoms that could indicate possible serious disease. Maybe she goes into denial because who could take care of her daughter if something happened to her??
Have a great time, enjoy the RV, and I know all your family will be glad to see your happy face at the reunion.
