We are packed and "ready" to go. Tomorrow is the day...
We will be at the Pete Gross house in Seattle.
The actual transplant should be around 21st of July.
My sister and I get tests done the first three days, this week. Then she flies back home and comes back the 16th.
I get lots more tests...I hope they don't find any BC activity....I have been off herceptin for 2 mos. so it is a concern. They will be doing a Muga and MRI of brain and PET scan to name a few. I hope I pass!!
I will begin the chemo days before the transplant and then be hospitalized for a month. I should be back to my real home hopefully by the end of October. Bob will be my caregiver until the end of Sept. when he has to get back to work.
Our new insurance coverage is great...so thankful for that.

It is an adventure to be sure. I am in the best place for a transplant though, my sister is a perfect match, and I am really hoping for a good outcome, maybe even get rid of BC too. The future may be bright!!!

We are taking the computer but won't be hooked up immediately

Our webpage again, will be www.caringbridge.org/visit/lolamattfeld. Hopefully Bob will update it daily.

I hope you all do well this summer, and jump your own hurdles well.

God bless you all.... I have not forgotten you...

Hugs, Lola

Great news -
The next leg of this journey begins.
As for not having had your Herceptin, we know you have had your fair share of good olive oil and other cancer fighting supplements and foods, so we will hang our hope there for the tests to show NO active cancer so that you can proceed.

I will be in touch soon. Just have a few busy days and you will need time to settle in.

Living away from home for treatments is sometimes challenging, but it sounds like you have done all things possible to put it together and are moving forward!

Hugs,

A.A.
