In the light of several finding brain mets with no symtoms, as a result of MRI, I was wondering if you should request an MRI even if not Stage 1V? My cancer center doesn't routinely do scans.
Thanks, Leslie

We used to perform routine scans, but after doing some recent research data, we learned that there's not much better improvement of survival either way. We do scans though, if persistent symptoms. Doctors are NOT supposed to deny our requests for scans, with persistent symptoms.

I do believe in the old adages " the squeeky wheel gets the most oil". Being persistant helps your survival. "Experience teaches". and don't forget "seek and you shall find" and "where there's a will there's a way". A little korny, but true.
Keep asking questions. Hugs, Christine
