Colonoscopy and Survivor nurse

Had a colonoscopy. All clear. When they put the pressure cuff on my arm I said, that's my lumpectomy arm. The nurse identified herself as a 5-year survivor too. We gabbed about our chemo, aromatase inhibitors, etc. etc. Boy did that lower my anxiety about the procedure. The last thing I remember was telling her I started treatment in the month of December...then I went out. We survivors are everywhere.

Re: Colonoscopy and Survivor nurse

So glad your result from your colonoscopy was good! Yes, it is sometimes amazing how easy it is to begin a conversation with someone, only to find out that one is talking to another survivor.
Here's hoping that treatment developments allow every woman who has experienced this crummy disease to claim survivorship!

Mjo,
How nice to have a nurse in there you could relate too...I'm sure that helped get your mind off things. Congratulations on the all clear...one less thing to worry about.
