I am sorry to hear of your recent recurrence. I wanted to share some very encouraging news. I am currently on the Tykerb/Xeloda trial and a women in our group who has liver mets just had her first scans at 6 weeks. In just 6 weeks her liver mets reduced by 50%.

Hang in there! Here's to the tykerb/avastin cocktail and another NED.

Aug '03 - diagnosed Stage III, Her 2 +++, ER - , PR-
Oct - Jan '04 - dose dense Taxotere (3 cycles) followed by A/C (5 cycles)
Feb '04 - L. Mastectomy, 15 nodes removed - 8 contained micrometastatic disease
Mar '04 - 4 1/2 weeks radiation
Apr '04 - started herceptin 52 weeks completed May '05
Dec '05 - Stage IV extensive lung mets to right & left lungs
Jan '06 - Xeloda 4 months til progression
Jun '06 - Jan '07 - Herceptin & Pertuzubmab every 3 weeks til progression
Feb '07 - Tykerb/Xeloda
June '07 - Taken off Tykerb/Xeloda protocol as lung mets had progressed and now had brain mets as well. Treated upfront with Gamma Knife Radiosugery for brain mets and started Doxil on 6/26/07.
