Exclamation some other info about the study

Hi,
I actually called and went through an initial application to be a subject in this study - until I was tentatively accepted, and during the informational interview, I was told that laying as still as possible for >12 hours was part of the research requirement. Even tho the study offered up to $800 for completion, staying that still for that long seemed to me too much like being straight-jacketed (I'm a restless sleeper, and anyway sleep no more than 6-7 hours at a stretch), and I told the interviewing research assistant that I declined to participate. I also told her that I thought it was deceptive practice NOT to inform subject candidates, from the get-go, that staying still for a long time is a study requirement, since this might be a deal-breaker for others as well, and why should we waste the effort applying, if we knew in advance that we wouldn't want to subject ourselves to those rigorous conditions?
