I tried to read a book on medical statistics and the math was very advanced. I have taken an introductory course to research and have experience in accounting, finance, and aviation calculations.

I see how easy it is to screw up reporting from these trials. The reporting and analysis seems overly complex.

I was listening yesterday to a summary of a study and in jotting down the information 2 different percentages came up for several key items. Human memory is too frail, and folks are not double checking the details.

Honestly it is still reporting of randomized trial, and when we get to the specifics for each individual it gets pretty simple - is this patient still alive? Do they have cancer or not?

As patients and advocates we need to have the industry simplify when they quantify!
