I don't know what Tanya thinks about this, but I think the important idea is to limit "refined" sugars whether they be glucose or fructose. That means we should limit things like soda, syrups, desserts and additives containing "refined" glucose and fructose. Fresh fruit and vegetables have alot of antioxidants and other beneficial things that might help keep our bodies strong and working well. In fact fresh, unprocesssed fruits and vegetables can help the immune system (white blood counts) and can be a plus for those taking chemotherapies that reduce the white blood counts.
