Re: bad news AGAIN

Deb,

Hang in there. The bowel obstruction can be taken care of quickly. And you will be getting your treatment soon.

A few years ago we got a phone call from hubby's sister that Father-in-law was near his end. He had been acting delirious and not sleeping much the whole week she's been there. She asked us to go over there (we usually spend at least every other weekend there) as she needed to drive home (4 hours one way) to pick up clothing for the 'funeral'. As a nutrition consultant (besides her teaching job in the university), she's seen many nursing home patients exhibiting similar signs before their passing.

After we got there, I realized that FIL was suffering from Urinary Tract Infection. I'd had it often since the cancer treatment, so had read/studied a lot about it. We called the ambulance and FIL was home after just two days in the hospital. He continued oral antibiotics for a week and has been doing just fine ever since. That must have happened about 2 years ago. He'd just turned 91 in February.
