Tumeric is in the ginger family. Fresh tumeric looks like fresh ginger, except the inside is orange. If I get fresh tumeric I grade it. You can also get a jar of it from the spice shelf. It is spicy. I think it is hard to get fresh horseradish. I get a jar of it from the spice shelf or a jar of it from the refrigerated section of the supermarket.
