Anastrozole, marketed as Arimidex, produces better results than tamoxifen

A NEW drug for breast cancer is better than current standard treatments and can prevent the disease returning for up to eight years, the world's largest trial has found.
The study comparing two anti-cancer drugs in more than 9300 women will change the way two-thirds of women with breast cancer are treated, researchers say.
Anastrozole, marketed as Arimidex, produces better results than tamoxifen, which has been a preferred treatment for post-menopausal women with hormone-sensitive early breast cancer for 25 years.
