Well, it's been five days now, and no side effects. I know that not everyone who gets the drug has side effects, but I doubt I am that lucky!

Oh, well, I'm probably on the placebo. That's ok - at least I am helping out, right?

I feel very lucky to have had a complete response to chemo and to still be NED almost 3 years after being diagnosed, and I am thankful to be able to be part of a trial that might wind up helping a lot of other women in the future.

Of course, I am still holding out hope that the diarrhea starts soon. Haha!

Post-Op Pathology Report: Pathologic Complete Response NED!! Thank You God! Began weekly Taxol (again) on 4/23/08; Completed Taxol on 6/18/08 - Whoo hoo! No more chemo! Began radiation on 07/30/08; Completed radiation on 09/12/08 - FINALLY! Lord, that was a long road. Went back to work on 10/14/08 - my birthday (hooray?) Last Herceptin completed 12/03/08 All finished, so now I'm scared to death not being in active treatment anymore. Sigh. DIEP on 01/29/09 Began Neratinib vs Placebo trial on 05/06/10
