Although there are a lot of awful things about breast cancer, there are some good ones too. The drug therapy your mom is getting is more effective than the treatments that were used when I was treated, so I can't speak personally to answer your question about Taxol. Being HER2 positive used to be considered a gloomy thing, but now with traztuzumab (Herceptin) to treat it, that too is a really good thing. Its wonderful to have the support of a daughter through it all and I hope you will try posting on the main board about your questions about HER2 and traztuzumab.
