I will try to post a paper but it's hard to find information on this and it's more than a theory -- that we have cancer stem cells. Treatments do not kill cancer stem cells, so kill rapidly growing cells. I'm going to a lecture next week on cancer stem cells and will post something when I get more information. I'll also chat with one of the Scientists here working on this problem. It's not understood well.
