Re: Laugh or Cry?

My periods returned too and I was very concerned as well thinking it could be something else. I even got a transvaginal ultrasound about 2-3 weeks later only to find that I was about to ovulate again (and had my period again). I was almost 47 then. Oh joy!

My youngest daughter who was about 15 then said, "see, you look young on the outside and you are young on the inside too"!

What was the most distressing was that my "Herceptin" buddy at the cancer center I go to was 34 yrs old and really wanted to have a baby (even after cancer treatment) and she never got her period back and went for fertility work up and found it would be impossible. I never told her about me as it would have been a blow that she could not handle at that time. To me, it didn't seem fair since "my factory" was going to be closed regardless of cancer. My baby making days were over for my family years prior.

Thankfully I did have teenage girls in my house so I had "supplies" available!
