There is a theory that sugar feeds cancer, however, it is not one with a lot of scientific backing. Sugar feeds every cell of our bodies. Cancer needs an energy source to grow and even if we don't feed it sugar it can still grow. As a dietitian, I certainly don't promote a diet high in sugar as it offers no benefits to anyone. However, I don't think one has to be afraid to enjoy a piece of birthday cake or a treat once in a while. The website,
