I was not diagnosed with IBC. However, my surgeon suggested neoadjuvant chemotherapy as a "breast conserving" tactic. My Oncologist agreed with the plan and prescibed Taxotere and Carboplatin plus Herceptin.

My tumor shrunk 50% after 6 (every 3 week) cycles of chemo and four months+ of weekly Herceptin prior to my lumpectomy.

~Switched to Every 3-week Herceptin 3/21/2007 for nine more months.
~Radiation May through June 2007 (35 rads total)
~Hormone therapy Lupron Injections + Arimidex
~Lymphedema Challenged!
