Re: What helps the effectiveness of Herceptin alone?

IMHO, the same things that help the effectiveness of chemotherapy. Minimizing inflammation by diet and exercise.

Chemotherapy causes some inflammation, which again, IMHO, is a reason why the support drugs like dexamethasone are used, to suppress inflammation brought on by the chemo.

Unfortunately, there has been less investigation so far into the use of trastuzumab alone, but if it doesn't take the same level of support anti-inflammatory drugs to administer it, then logically, it isn't doing as much to cause inflammation.

Further minimizing inflammation and cancer by a selective diet that limits or avoids the foods that are thought to be more inflammatory is an option to consider.
