Re: Meningioma?

Hi Derby Girl
I recently had a MRI for unrelenting headaches. Found a 10mm menigioma between the cerebrum and cerebellum, unlike cause of the headaches per my onc and the neurologist. Because it is a new finding we are re-imaging in 3 months and if no changes then yearly. I would want a concrete answer that this is not the cause of your blurred vision, they usually don't cause problems unless they get large and put pressure on areas of the brain and then are re-sected. They are not cancerous. Usually the finding of a menigioma is an "incidentaloma", meaning not the cause of the problem and an incidental finding. My headaches are better, seemed to be caused by the use of celebrex (like ibuprofen) from rebound.
Good luck.

We gain strength, courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face. The danger lies in refusing to face the fear, not in daring to come to grips with it. We must do that which we think we cannot do. -Eleanor Roosevelt
