Dear Lois,

Thanks for the extensive post on glutathione. It is my understanding from hundreds of hours of reading, that one way to selectively lower glutathione levels in malignant cells, is by a process known as feedback inhibition. Theory holds that by the intake of whey protein isolate, the malignant cells will begin to naturally produce less glutathione. The body's normal cells continue to function properly as they use the precursor amino acids supplied by, among other things, the glutamine from the whey protein isolate.

Additionally, the whey protein isolate, being so bioavailable to the body's cells, will act to counter the effects of catabolic wasting (cachexia) in those whose digestive processes have been disrupted by the cancer. I will look for some of my research and post some of it later on this site.
