Rhonda, That one's a toss up. If I had my way I would just assume avoid both. lol

I am not sure but I *think* my onc plans on having me come in every 6 until I reach the 3 yr mark. I'm doing every 3 months like you are. I think at this visit you might ask your onc if he/she is comfortable with you coming in every 6 months instead? But I do admire your onc for keeping an eye on you. Some onc's kick their patients lose too soon...yours is just playing it safe. But maybe you will get surprised and he/she will tell you at this appt that it is being changed to every 6 months. (You better make sure they realize its been 3 yrs.) By the way...I'm early...but happy cancerversary to you.

9-28-09 Loading dose of Herceptin & started Zometa
9-29-09 Power Port Placement
10-24-09 Mass 6.4 x 4.7 cm on Rt. femur head.
11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.
