I know- it does seem like an epidemic. Not sure where in Nor Cal you are, but of course Marin is a high bc area (not that they know why).
I've had 3 women in my office (including me) dx with breast cancer in the last 7 years. Plus one who came here after. Maybe we are just hyper alert to it - and people tend to reach out to me when they have a friend or loved one get this crappy news.
Either way, I would sure love to see a cure - preferably in my lifetime.
Sorry you are burdened with more bad news for your friend; but she is fortunate to have you to support her.
