Hi Norma,

I found that doing the stretching exercises that the surgeon recommended really helped my healing. I personally would not massage the area, the tightness really is normal and the stretching exercises will help you get your mobility/range of motion back. It's major surgery and you need to give yourself time to heal. The expanders are not comfortable.
