Re: Kids are at risk of biological damage results from microwave radiation emitted by

Thank you for posting this.

About two years ago our local power company provided every home in my town with compact fluorescent light bulbs. I took mine back with the explanation that I was dealing with enough health issues and didn't want the bulbs. The employee told me that a doctor had contacted them with the same concerns and they had concluded that anyone with an immune system problem should limit their exposure to the light by sitting a certain distance away. In the meantime, they gave these bulbs to every household without being concerned about peoples' health issues. I know someone with an auto-immune issue who didn't know you are to be careful with the disposal of the bulbs. The information is there on the box, in tiny print, of a website to go to to learn more. (at least it said that a few years ago-I don't even look at the bulbs when I go to the store) In my opinion, a warning label should be put on the box about safe disposal just like we have on our boxes of medications.
