Re: Clean scans but fatty liver

I also have "fatty liver" which was found when doing an ultrasound on my gall bladder. My liver enzymes have been up a bit during the past year (2 out of the 3 are slightly over the top of the normal range.)

I am due to see my onc in about a week, and will discuss this with him. My family physician wanted to do a CT scan of the liver, but I opted to wait and see if "lifestyle changes" would make a difference. I was really "good" at working on the changes for a couple weeks, then that tapered off. My family doc also said that this is more common in obese individuals, but it can occur with anyone. High triglycerides can also up the chances of fatty liver, and mine are high.

It didn't stop me from worrying, of course. Will be glad to have my onc visit over. Always am nervous when waiting to hear results from the bloodwork.
