An other research paper posted earlier appears to show much longer lasting side effects on brain from chemo:

Both Tom's post & the one above should perhaps change the perspective of some MD's who assign most loss of cognitive functions (such as memory deficits) to the temporary anemia resulting from chemo. At least that was the gist of an explanation at a recent public chat room session at the Breastcancer org
