This same company has created a monoclonoal antibody (similar to Herceptin) for metastatic melanoma (although this drug is derived from human substances not rodents like Herceptin.) It is only being offered in six countries and the US is not one of them. From what I understand, the new drug has no side effects, Something that IL2 does (which is hell on the system). My mother-in-law has metastatic melanoma and she's been told that there is nothing more they can do.

I have a sister that lives in Santiago, Chile and she is trying to get info of availability and cost of the drug there.
The drug is also offered in the Phillipines, Sweden and I can't remember where else.
I wonder if the new BZL101 will be as difficult to get as Herceptin was (and still is in many places)...
