Barbara, be sure

to get your onc to check the serum her-2 marker JUST prior to your herceptin infusion...this is when it will be the highest...fyi. In general, keep in mind that the Herceptin is not exactly a cure...more like a control... In general, it looks like that you are getting the right amount of herceptin frequently enough to keep your disease well-controlled. However, if that serum her-2 starts to steadily progress on a regular basis say it goes from 9 to 12 to 15 to 20 to 40, well, then you will need to either increase your Herceptin dose or increase your frequency...my best take on it. Better safe than sorry.
