Thank you to all of you. Your replies have brought my shoulders down to a normal position. These reminders are so important to me.

My local onc said that 3 of the liver lesions have grown since the last scan. The one that caused the pain, which oddly enough is gone, is close to the liver's surface and was mms and is now over a cm. She does not feel that this growth is related to the trouble we have had making me postmenopausal. I have such a hard time believing that since it has been since the last scan in November, which was VLED, that the growth has happened and she had me consult with a gyn and a rad onc for ovary issues as the zoladex every 4 weeks wasn't bringing the estrodial down. We chose every 3 weeks and just now my estodial is low (blood draw this week showed this). She keeps saying since we have gotten it gradually loweer that the growth is not related to hormones. I also have a hard time believing this because of sheer denial. If this is true then have I lost a whole avenue of treatment? Then my mind went to, "what if the herceptin is failing?" I have been on it since July 22 of 2002.

The oncs first choice is taxol and carbo for speed and time to progression reasons. Her way way second choice is navelbine and herceptin and her third choice is faslodex.

i meet with my specialist in Denver tomorrow. He has so far always deferred to hormones when she has wanted to do chemo. He is very knowledgeable and experienced with hormonals. If he says this growth is unrelated to the estrogen, I'll freak. He has treated stage IV gals for years hormonally and has even experienced the "withdrawl effect" from taking women off of their hormonals and watching the cancer receed for awhile. Blah, blah.

i also have a nagging sensation in my hip that has me worried. I have a PET scan on the 10th. It seems to be worse when i sit cross legged at work a lot. Ugh.

Anyway thank you and I am here for others too. I'm scaling back work and focusing on my kids and my health. It is also coincidental that in the last 3 months I haven't been to the acupuncturist much or doing all of my supplements regularly. It's all worth considering isn't it?

Love, Joy
