I almost missed your post down here... Sorry about that...
I had 4 AC and 4 Taxotere - each 3 weeks apart. My onc would not let me get dose dense (2 weeks apart) even though I wanted it... He was willing to give me the herceptin though (after a bit of a fight) so I didn't press my luck. I'm satisfied with the decision.
I started the herceptin with the taxotere (they are synergistic together) and then continued the herceptin (every 3 weeks) for a full year following that. So in 6 weeks I'll have completed 15 months of herceptin.
I'm also er/pr+ (and was 33 at diagnosis) and so I get lupron shots to shut down my ovaries... and I take arimidex dailly. Is your wife er/pr+ also?
