Actually, I never got your LONG email?...
The book was fun reading, but I was also bothered by it, too. Did you read the 2nd Lance book? I borrowed one from my brother.
In it, Lance refuses to credit the Lord for his recovery. Even though, he's a self-proclaimed atheist, he still wears a silver cross necklace, NOT for religious reasons, but simply for remembrance of his "bond" with another cancer fellow, his agent's secretary -- I guess they were close friends. She also had a dupe of the necklace and was an atheist as well. If I recall correctly, she had gotten her diagnosis, just about the same time as Lance had finished chemo. Unfortunately, she passed away. :-(
