Harvesting the cells is easy, the drugs to make the cells become recognized by the body are becoming better known, but growing the cells in the lab still remains expensive. I am not sure why, as cells like this have been grown for 30 years now. I know, I did this back in 1984. This is much less expensive in the long run and much healthier for the women that have this done. The actually growing of the cells is accompanied by quality, documentation, and support costs that can inflate the cost by 10 fold. I know many of the players in this industry. The work grew out of the invitro fertilization work of the 1980s. Keep your fingers crossed that it moves int the actual application for patients within the next few years.
