Hi again ladies, I was looking up the meds that this palliative care doctor prescribed for me...... I am sooooooo mad. I don't even think I asked for anything for sleep...Zopiclone 7.5mg 2 tablets a night is what I was given the date on the bottle is Nov 17. Now with the ammonia issue I have trouble remembering and processing everything, but I am pretty sure I have only been taking 1 a night, but I am scared!! What I read about this drug is awful, you can look it up yourselves if you want, but it says it should only be given in the short term 7-10 days and that daytime anxiety withdrawl can start happening after 3-4 weeks of usage!!! WHY WOULD A DOCTOR PRESCRIBE THIS??? No wonder this feeling would hit me right out of the blue!! DARN IT! I don't need this crap in my life.....
No one told me this...not the pharmacist either...Now wouldn't someone say something... I was prescribed ativan at the same time..who wouldn't say "Hey this isn't a good idea"? How am I supposed to trust this doctor to safely "keep me comfortable"? when he is adding to my problems?
Any suggestions on what to do? I guess I could take half a pill for a few nights and ween myself off...I don't know..I just know that the anxiety that creeps up behind me around dinner time is enough to do me in where I want relief NOW! It is really scary...
Anyway at least I know I am not going crazy, but I AM MAD!

Cured? Recur: May'05 spine & Hip. New onc treatment in Mexico Feb'06-Mar-06 back to Mexico June/July '06 Currently on herceptin/Zometa/Femara-recently added navelbine Switched to arimidex Nov'06 ovaries removed June '07 ca15-3 in May'06 was 102 ca15-3 summer of '07 holding steady at 23! ca15-3 slowly rising Dec & Jan 36, 38, 41 and Feb was 36 Feb '08 Liver, lung & Brain scan NED... bones are stable with even a couple spots gone. as compared with '06 scans May '08 ca 15-3 is 55. Treatment is zometa, vinorelbine, herceptin and aromasin. No signifcant changes. Feb'09 Started Xeloda with herceptin..no more hormonals Feb'09-June'09 tumor markers coming down again from 155 to 84 May'09 blood clots in lungs vena cava filter put in..Heparin shots daily for now.
