Re: Effexor Question

Mary Jo, you sound just like me. My doctor started me on Abilify, last Friday and i swear, I've been thinking the same thing,"I can stop now, and not have any side effects" but, like you, I hope it helps and I want to try it.
I was on effexor quite a a few years ago, 1997 I believe. When I stopped taking it, I slowly weaned off and didn't have a problem at all. Depression is bad but anxiety is worse, I think. I hope you have good luck with it.
I've always been afraid of meds, so scared about side effects, especially now when they advertise them on tv. The first thing listed on my new med is that it can cause death. Gee, that perked me right up. But doc says that's intended for the elderly.
You're lucky that you don't have to take other meds, I'm on about six or seven plus all my supplements. We gotta do what we gotta do, right?
good luck, Mary Jo.
