Prayers for all to go well Denise. I stayed in the beautiful hospital issued gown after my DIEP. It's just easier. The ribbon idea for drains when showering is a good idea. I did that too and it makes showering much easier. As for pain management, I can honestly say I didn't experience much pain. I was given the "heavy duty" drugs the first few days but then started seeing martians (yup.....it's called percoset hallucinations) so told the nursing staff....NO MORE. It was Tylenol only then and I was fine. I walked a lot.
You'll do fine. Looking forward to hearing how it all goes.
