I'm so stunned and sad. I've been away from the Board for a week and when I logged on yesterday, I could hardly believe what I was reading. It's taken me another day to find the words...
I was only 33 years old when I was diagnosed 8 years ago, Stage IV with this disease. I was lost and very scared and this community- created and nurtured by Joe, inspired by Christine- took me into their arms and every day since have offered me guidance, courage, hope, knowledge and an endless supply of comfort and friendship. What gift.
Where would any of us be without each other, under Joe's watchful eye?
To Christine, Danielle, your family and family of friends, may you find peace in knowing how much Joe and you have all impacted my and all of our lives and the legacy you've created will live on with each of us continuing to offer guidance, courage, hope and knowledge to one another and the new members who will come to walk this path.
