The opthamologist said surgery wasn't advisable during chemo since it could interfere with the healing process. If this is true, I wonder if its only an issue with chemos that attack rapidly dividing cells as opposed to antibody based "chemo" like Herceptin. My mom may aslo need gall bladder surgery at some point. Wonder how that would go.
