DW,

My wife Christine had Gamma Knife on 3 seperate occasions and they were extremely successful.

You may wish to visit our Brain Metastasis pages for more info.

There are some differences between Gamma Knife and Cyberknife, Christine's rad/onc does both and recommends Gamma Knife for Brain mets and Cyberknife for other mets such as lung, bone, etc.

The procedure is done on an outpatient basis and usually takes about 4 hours, although less than 1/2 hour is spent in the machine.

I'll have Chris call you to explain the procedure in details.

Regards
Joe
