Like everyone here is saying, you really will do fine.

The oncologiest have learnt how to manage the side effects very well. I had my first chemo in july 2007 and it was easier compared to what I had imagined. The only issue I had is the benedryl since it made me sleepy and sort of groggy. I would drive myself to chemo and back, so benedryl was a pain. I stopped taking it after a couple of treatments and after that chemo was much easier.

DX: 06-30-2007 - left breast -stage IIIB, Her2/Neu 3+++, ER weakly positive, PR-
Taxol+herceptin weekly for 3 months
FEC+herceptin every 3 weeks for 3 months
BRCA 1 and 2 - Negative
Jan 2008 - Bilateral mastectomy, prophylactic Rt. side.
Radiation for 5 weeks
Completed my yr of herceptin on 07-14-2008
Brain MRI - 3/2/09 Clean
