I went through 4 oncs already. Though I have moved a few times! The highlights of bad treatment being:
1. Didn't get the promised phone call with my biopsy results - they faxed me my results and left me to look up the meaning on the interenet.
2. Went into surgery with a stage 0 small incision promise. Didn't find out that my incision was much larger till I removed the bandage at home.
3. Had a fever and felt ill during my Herceptin treatment. Turned out to be a staph infection in my port. When I called the head nurse about my symptoms she responded "What do you do take your temperature all the time?" and "why don't you just find a freind to talk to - your just emotionally upset, that can cause a fever you know." Yeeeeesh what a nightmare some of this has been. Though there have been some wonderful professionals also. Meet my new Onc in September, and praying for a good person.
